The VAC 40 has 2 channels selected
with the included A/B box. Volume channel controls: volume, treble (with pull), bass, and tone. Pull treble boosts upper mids
and gain. Tone switch has 3 positions: brighter/thinner, normal, and darker thicker. Gain channel controls: gain, volume,
treble (with pull), bass, and tone. Pull treble boosts upper mids and gain. Tone switch has 3 positions: brighter/thinner,
normal, and darker/thicker. Bright control and V.A.C. control affect both channels. V.A.C. settings are 4, 9, 20, 30, and
40 watts.
A/B box left switch selects volume channel when green LED is on and gain channel when green
LED is off. Right switch selects direct connection to gain channel with red LED on and passive gain roll back to gain
channel when yellow LED is on (like rolling back guitar volume control).
Tubes: 6L6GC pair, 12AX7 preamp
